Remember Your Ears on The 4th of July

Danny Gnewikow 0 1940
Everyone wants to celebrate our country’s heritage with an exciting fireworks display. However, close proximity to fireworks can cause permanent damage to hearing, especially in children. A good rule of thumb is if you have to yell for the person 2 feet away to hear you, the noise is too loud. Make sure you wear ear protection at all fireworks. STOP BY OUR DANVILLE OR LYNCHBURG OFFICE, AND WE WILL GLADLY GIVE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FOAM EARPLUGS TO WEAR TO YOUR JULY 4TH CELEBRATION.

March 25th was American Diabetes Association Alert Day. Better Hearing Institute urged people with diabetes to have their hearing checked. Hearing loss is approximately twice as common in individuals with diabetes, so hearing evaluations are imperative. Studies have suggested that high blood glucose levels in diabetic individuals can damage the blood vessels and nerves located in the inner ear, which can affect the ability to hear.

Audiology Hearing Aid Associates of Lynchburg has officially relocated to our new home at 2104 Langhorne Road. We initiated the move on Friday, December 6 and worked tirelessly over the next few days to relocate and settle in to our new space. We saw our first patients for hearing aid repairs in the new office on Wednesday, December 11, and we reopened for diagnostic appointments and hearing aid fittings on Thursday, December 12. We look forward to serving our patients at our new, more spacious, location. Please stop by to say hello and see our new space. If you have previously purchased a hearing aid through our office, stop in and tell us you saw this announcement on Facebook or on our website blog, and we will give you a free package of hearing aid batteries!
