1. Who will help me choose the BEST brand, style, and technology features for my hearing aid?

Success with hearing aids is 60 % the result of proper physical and acoustical fit, and 40% the result of correct choice of a hearing aid to meet your individual needs. Our audiologists select hearing aids based on evaluation of your hearing, as well as your cosmetic, environmental, and financial considerations.

2. When I first get my new hearing aid, who will adjust it for comfort of fit and sound quality?

Following the initial adjustment of the hearing aid, which is based only on the audiogram (patient's hearing loss), it is necessary to make several re-adjustments based on the patient's particular lifestyle and social interactions. After wearing the hearing aid for a few weeks, modifications to both the physical fit and the acoustic characteristics of the hearing aid are often needed to ensure a comfortable and successful fitting. Our audiologists generally readjust the aid SEVERAL times during the initial trial period. Simply stated: A hearing aid must "FEEL GOOD" and "SOUND GOOD".

3. Who will counsel my family members and me on how to use my aids to the best advantage in new listening situations?

Perhaps the most significant factor affecting successful use of a hearing aid is the degree to which the patient is informed concerning the hearing loss, the hearing aid, and its proper use and expectations in performance. We offer extensive counseling to both patients and their families to optimize the hearing aid experience and to help ensure a successful fitting. A spouse or close family member is encouraged to be a part of the hearing aid evaluation, fitting, and follow-up sessions.

4. Who will re-adjust and re-program my hearing aid in the months following my purchase as I become better able to tolerate newly heard sounds?

After several months of wearing a hearing aid, the user will often find the need for further adjustments as he/she becomes more accustomed to amplification and desires a more precise acoustic fit. Our centers provide reprogramming and adjustments for the LIFE of the hearing aid which is included in the original cost of the hearing aid.

5. Who will clean, maintain, and repair my aid over the life of the hearing aid?

The average hearing aid requires routine cleaning, maintenance and minor adjustment every 6 to 12 months. Our office provides these routine in-office services included in the original cost of the hearing aid for the LIFE of the hearing aid.

6. Who will reprogram my hearing aid if my hearing worsens?

Hearing aids require readjustment and re-programming as the hearing loss of the user changes over the years. Again, our original purchase fee covers these adjustments for the LIFE of your hearing aid.
